What are the advantages of using catalyst?
The primary purpose of the catalyst is to convert carbon monoxide (CO) to carbon dioxide (CO2) which can be safely released to the environment. They also serve to provide some back pressure, which is important because it provides low-end torque. With the HJS catalysts you will not have to worry if you will comply with the EOBD (European On Board Diagnostics) requirements for exhaust emissions.
I’m confused, which catalyst should I choose for my car?
You should know the displacement (cc) of your engine and of course the power (hp).when you choose a catalyst for your car. The main part of the catalyst is the cell. The key codes to the corresponding dimensions of the HJS cell are shown below:

In tuning we use always the dimensions. The great variety of catalyst consists in the variety of the inlet diameter of the cone and the length. The cells are standard. In Quality Tuning we can provide separately the cells from the cones so every tuner is free to choose the diameter of the pipe.

The catalyst I bought has a different code with the one you use. What is going on?
In every HJS catalyst there is a marked code. This code has nothing to do with the sale code that is mentioned above. It’s an internal unique) code used by HJS in order to track the production information of every catalyst.
How much time do you need for a custom made catalyst?
Approximately the delivery time is 10 days.
Why should I choose an HJS catalyst?
The HJS catalysts are the best on the market. They are 100% stainless steel and are made entirely in Germany. In fact you will not find catalysts for your car that will offer a greater flow than HJS. Specifically, compared with the factory catalysts, they provide enhanced flow up to 90%, thus giving you more horsepower and torque, and therefore, will breathe new life into your vehicle.
Why should I pay 500 euros for a HJS catalyst when I can find other brands with 200 euros?
HJS catalysts have higher strength, greater flow, and about five times as much precious metals, which makes the cost higher than other catalysts. Also the special configuration (S-Winding) of the cell completely prevents exhaust leakage phenomena are very common in cheaper catalysts.

Your catalyst are ceramic or metallic and which ones are better?
All HJS catalysts that we provide are 100% metallic. The metallic catalysts are much stronger than ceramic and can withstand higher temperatures, power and flow.
What is the difference between 100 C.P.S.I. and 200 C.P.S.I. and which one should I choose?
The 100 C.P.S.I. (Holes per square inch), provide about 95% of the air flow and have three centers winding. The 100 C.P.S.I. are made for racing applications and very demanding applications. They are more resistant than 200 CPSI, and they give CEL after 15,000 km.
The 200 C.P.S.I. are designed for street use, they extract the maximum power from your engine, and will continue to comply with the EOBD requirements and you're legal. They provide about 90% of the air flow and they have 2 or 3 centers winding depending on the model.
What about if my exhaust pipe is e.g. 76mm and the HJS catalyst is 60mm?
The cones in HJS catalytic converters are made to cut and adjusted according to your needs. Unlike other manufacturers, we do not have a specific catalytic converter for 54mm, 60mm, 64mm, 70mm and 76mm because with these cones catalysts we can come in any size pipe, which makes them truly Universal!
What do you mean by “Universal”?
When selecting a catalyst, the most important thing to consider is the engine size (cc) and horsepower. As long as the engine size of your car and the power is within the limits of the catalyst, then it can be used in your car. As most vehicles are within the limits of our catalysts, they may be used e.g. in almost all BMW, the VW, the Mercedes, the Honda etc, and of course in your car.
Why should I buy a HJS catalyst instead of a factory-type such as BMW, Mercedes, Porsche or some other brand?
In most cases, a HJS catalyst costs one third the price of factory-type catalyst e.g. from BMW, Mercedes or a Porsche. Also, HJS catalysts are metal and therefore more resistant than ceramic, offered by manufacturers. The HJS catalyst offers about 90% of the air flow, while the respective manufacturers only about 55% or less. A flow of about 55% reduces the horses of your machine. The flow increase to 90% would release the horsepower that was previously limited. Even a 10 year old vehicle will feel more powerful than it was the first day you got it!
The use of HJS catalyst will void the warranty of my car?
Not. Placing HJS catalyst will not void the warranty of your car, as long as it has been professionally installed.
